From winning awards to attending international trade shows, Igor has had a fantastic year. Below are a compilation of some of our favorite moments from 2019!
Nexos Wins a Sapphire Award for Its Emergency Lighting Solution
Dwight Stewart, Founder and CTO of Igor, accepted the award in the Emergency SSL Luminaires, Modules, and Drivers Category for Igor's UL924 PoE Emergency Lighting Solution. This award recognizes Igor’s patented advanced emergency lighting capabilities as a leader in the industry. With its UL 924 certification on its Patented Centralized Emergency Back-up system, Igor’s solution can be a centralized system for a less complicated, more reliable, and lower cost emergency lighting solution for commercial buildings.
With industry recognition of Igor's excellent product design and UL certifications for a centralized PoE emergency lighting system, the most challenging technical barrier to adoption has been removed in PoE lighting designs.

Igor is Named a Top Smart Building and Lighting Company by BuiltWorlds
Igor was selected by BuiltWorlds to be on its 2019 Building Tech 50 list for the second consecutive year and was later named the top lighting technology company in 2019. The list highlight leaders in the smart building technology space put together by a panel of expert judges to pick the most exciting and innovative solution from each of our list categories: asset management, building envelopes, high performance materials, HVAC and energy systems, interiors, lighting, mobility, roof systems, tenant services, and water systems.
We are proud that Igor topped the list in the lighting category and are excited about the continual developments in the smart building industry as Igor’s technology reaches into all aspects of the smart building ecosystem.

Igor is the First PoE-based Platform to be DLC Qualified
The DesignLights Consortium (DLC), a non-profit organization dedicated to collaborating with utilities on energy efficiency programs such as rebates, awarded Igor the distinction of being qualified by the DLC and listed on its Qualified Products List (QPL).
This allows those who installed Nexos, Igor’s IoT Smart Building Platform, to be eligible for utility rebates nationwide. Achieving qualification with the DLC is a significant step - both for Igor’s customers who are eligible for rebates on their Power-over-Ethernet platform, and for Igor as this continues to be objective 3rd party validation on the high quality of Nexos and its technology.

Nexos Gets a Major UI Upgrade and Increased Functionality with the Gateway Software 5.0 Release
The software updates reflect the acceleration of the market adoption of Power-over-Ethernet(PoE) based smart building technology, combined with the hardware and cloud services, this enhancement to the Gateway software puts Igor’s Nexos IoT Smart Building platform at the forefront of smart building management and technology. It incorporates feedback from end-users and Igor’s ecosystem partners to add updates that are most relevant to the market today.
Many more features & usability upgrades and changes has been made to the software as the goal of these changes is to make the software installation and implementation easy without sacrificing the powerful capabilities already built into Igor’s technology.

Dwight Represents Igor at the 10th Unreasonable Impact Program
Unreasonable Impact is an innovative partnership between Barclays and Unreasonable Group that supports high-growth ventures tackling some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges to scale and create thousands of new jobs. Each program connects the entrepreneurs to a global community of world-class mentors and industry specialists, including experts from across Barclays.
Igor was been chosen to join 14 other growth-stage ventures at the 2019 Unreasonable Impact Americas program. For twelve intensive days this October, Igor’s Founder and CTO, Dwight Stewart, joined other entrepreneurs from across North America at the 10th Unreasonable Impact program to accelerate the growth of their companies.

Nexos Gains Traction Internationally After International Expansion
In 2019, Igor attended several domestic trade shows and added two international shows to its busy marketing schedule. Igor’s Nexos IoT Smart Building Platform was demonstrated at the Smart Cities and Buildings Show in Singapore and the Smart Building Show in London to great success. The shows not only promoted the Nexos solution, but also introduced Nexos as a solution to potential partners across the world. Today, Nexos is in over 30 different countries on five different continents with significant momentum leading into 2020.
