The Value of Igor's IoT and PoE Solutions
October 2, 2020
The last several months have been challenging times for everyone. Fortunately, the Igor team has had great resiliency and determination to continue to push ahead even against tough obstacles. Joining Igor at the very beginning of the pandemic in February, has been quite a challenging yet rewarding role thus far.
Part of my initial goal was to add the best partners to the ecosystem further pushing Igor’s message into the industry. By aligning with reps, resellers, installers, and other channel partners there has been great success educating and winning projects.
Part of the reason for the early success has been our messaging of how to sell Igor in the marketplace. Whenever discussing Igor these 3 points are mentioned:
1) PoE Technology
2) Customer Needs
3) Future-Proof
What separates Igor from other companies is the ability to be a PoE technology company that can do more than just lighting. A big misconception when speaking with customers is that PoE can only control lighting. With Igor, we offer more and that allows us to elevate the conversation into smart buildings and IoT which brings more value to the project.
When the conversation is elevated to technology, we can have conversations about solving customer problems and impacting business outcomes. Through our open ecosystem and technology, Igor can put together the appropriate solution to meet the needs of the end user. Some examples can be improving employee productivity, creating a healthier environment, effectively manage their space, and creating a safer environment.
The biggest added value when talking to customers is offering a scalable and flexible solution. Igor allows a customer to future-proof the space. As we can all agree, technology in buildings are needed but not everyone has the budget or resources to initially do so. However, down the line as budgets and needs change, customers will be more inclined to expand. Igor easily allows customers to add on technology to deliver additional value without having to remove the existing systems as you would with traditional lighting control systems.
There are many other ways Igor can offer innovative value to customers, but these have been the most effective thus far. As Igor continues to grow and technology becomes more integrated in the industry, the benefits of Igor’s PoE technology will become more apparent to our customers.
