Dwight Stewart and Igor Win Illumineer of the Year Sapphire Award for UV-C technology Nexos Integration

Founder and President, Dwight Stewart and Igor have been chosen for the Ilumineer of the Year Award as a part of LEDs Magazine’s Sapphire Awards for innovation and market responsiveness with their Intelligent Disinfection UV-C solution. The Igor team recognized and navigated through a significant challenge as it worked to develop the Nexos Intelligent Disinfection solution.  

The innovation of this project was rapid with the product going from ideation to market in less than two months. The Igor team worked tirelessly to ensure a safe, tested product to meet a dire market need during a trying time. Led by a team of experts including director of hardware engineering Andrew Pospisal, director of technology Jaryd Sunstrom, and vice-president of marketing, Kim Johnson, this solution required cross-collaboration among all departments in the company to create a successful kitted solution and product launch. 

This award is the third win for Igor’s Intelligent Disinfection solution. The technology was selected for IoT World’s COVID-19 Innovation Award and AMA Iowa’s Integrated Campaign of the Year. 

The Sapphire Awards were held virtually at the end of the first day of LEDs Magazine’s Strategies in Light Conference. The event gathers attendees from around the lighting industry to discuss and learn more about the trends and technology transforming the market.
