Igor, Inc.’s Founder and CTO, Dwight Stewart, will be speaking at the Strategies in Light Conference in Anaheim, CA on March 1st, 2017. His session is part of Track 4: “The LED Show Co-Located with Strategies in Light” in Session 1: “Enabled Things” at 11:30am.

The event is a co-location program that brings together the Strategies in Light Conference with The LED Show into one industry-leading conference. Stewart’s session, “Power-over-Ethernet: Keys to Market Adoption,” will explore the current rate of adoption of PoE as well as examine the benefits and barriers to PoE as the leading protocol for connected lighting solutions. “Over the past year we have witnessed a rapid transition from curiosity about PoE to numerous project implementations”, stated Dwight Stewart, “while there remains some reluctance to embrace PoE based connected lighting solutions in some corners of the industry, it is no longer a question of ‘will’ PoE be a well adopted lighting industry protocol, but rather when it will be recognized as ‘The’ protocol of choice for intelligent connected lighting.”
