Igor and Ivani Announce the Integration of Ivani's Technology within Igor's NexosT IoT Smart Building Platform
June 4, 2019
SAN DIEGO, Calif., June 4, 2019 – In a step forward for smart building implementation, Igor and Ivani announce the integration of Ivani’s Network Presence Sensing (NPS) technology within Igor’s Nexos IoT Smart Building platform.
Using standard wireless signals, the integration of NPS analytics within the Nexos platform provides groundbreaking human occupancy detection without requiring dedicated hardware. The Nexos platform provides the backbone infrastructure connecting data for analysis by the NPS Decision Engine, updating device firmware, and linking communications used for NPS analytics. Igor Nexos makes it possible for multiple technologies to leverage the same wireless transceiver data, for example NPS and others may also add asset tracking, indoor positioning, wayfinding, geo-fencing, proximity detection, and more.
"We are thrilled to be working with Dwight and his team to bring an entirely new and vital data set to the digital building. Igor's Nexos is an excellent platform for integrating and delivering NPS-enabled services for end users," said Justin McKinney, Ivani CEO.
Dwight Stewart, Igor’s Founder and CTO, agreed, “The market is looking for integrated solutions, and we are excited to be working with Ivani to bring a market-leading human occupancy detection capability onto the Nexos platform for a seamless smart building experience for occupants.”
Ivani’s NPS technology provides advanced occupancy sensing capabilities to groups of wireless communication devices by analyzing network diagnostic information. As a technology and intellectual property development company focused on providing information about human activity to address the many problems with current occupancy sensing technologies, Ivani works with partners to integrate NPS into their product offerings, bringing the value of many sensors with the convenience of a firmware update. NPS enables Ivani’s partners to engage in new business models selling NPS-enabled services from data classes such as Change Detection, Presence Detection, People Counting, and People Locating. These services such as autonomous lighting control, physical security alerts, optimized space utilization and more are made available to end users via software and firmware updates, and all services may be provided simultaneously from one set of devices.
Igor’s flagship product, Nexos, is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) IoT smart building platform that incorporates the hardware, software, and cloud analytics components to form the digital building backbone. This reliable backbone uses proven technology to deliver superior smart building experiences. Combined with an open API and real-time platform data engine, Nexos is a forward-looking IoT smart building technology that seamlessly integrates full lighting controls with virtually any IoT device or smart building application available on the market.
McKinney added, “It’s important that Ivani aligns itself with partners who can both execute on state-of-the-art technology and have a clear vision for the future of smart buildings to push the industry forward. Igor does both, seamlessly.”
Stewart concurred, “Working with Ivani has been a great experience. It’s clear we have similar values and a shared vision for the smart building industry which makes aligning on our technology feel very natural. The work we are doing together is a great example of what is possible in a smart building today.”
The Igor-Ivani solution will be on display at Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, in the Digital Building Pavilion.
